  • May – Coco Weber presented Unpacking Beryl Markham, which focused on Markham's own beautifully written memoir, West with the Night, and Paula McLain's novel Circling the Sun, which is based on Markham's life.
  • April – Coffman resident Linda Lindeke's son, Bill Lindeke, shared about his recent book, Minneapolis-St. Paul Then and Now.
  • March – Paul Weiblen reviewed These Truths: A History of the United States by Harvard historian and New Yorker columnist Jill Lapore. 
  • February – Kitty Zoltai Gogins, sister of Coffman resident Lily Zoltai, reviewed her book, My Flag Grew Stars: World War II Refugees' Journey to America.   The book chronicles the dramatic escape from Hungary of Kitty and Lily's parent--Olga  and  Tibor  Zoltai (also Coffman residents at one time)--and  their  survival  as  refugees  who later became  Americans.
  • January – Jenny Rajput reviewed Spineless Wonders: Strange Tales from  the Invertebrate World by Richard Coniff.

  • October - Huber Warner reviewed The  Last  Man  Who Knew  Everything:  The Life  and  Times  of  Enrico Fermi,  Father  of  the Nuclear  Age  by  David Schwartz. 
  • September - Bill  Burke  reviewed Lost  in  Shangri-La: A True  Story  of  Survival,  Adventure,  and  the  Most Incredible  Rescue  Mission  of  World  War  II by Mitchell Zuckoff.
  • May – Victoria Tirrel reviewed The Secret Diary of Hendrick Groen, Age 83-1/4 and Our Souls at Night by Kent Haruf.
  • April – Coco Weber reviewed Round House by Louise Erdrich.
  • March – Huber Warner reviewed Code Girls by Liza Mundy, a book about code-breaking during World War II.
  • February – Katie Weiblen reviewed Emma by Jane Austen.
  • January – Dottie Waltz reviewed Hillbilly Elegy and Sing for Your Life.

  • November – Last Standing Woman, the biography of Winona LaDuke, got a review from Jenny Rajput.
  • October – Art was the topic as Joanne Kendall reviewed Ai Weiwei-ism and Mary Waibel reviewed My Life as a Scribe.
  • September – In Paul Weiblen’s review of The Undoing Project: A Friendship That Changed Our Minds by Michael Lewis, Paul talked us through the friendship of two psychologists and their theory of how the mind works, which altered our perception of reality.
  • May – We celebrated three independent publishers in the Twin Cities with reviews by Mary Lynn Kittelson of Stilwater: Finding Wild Mercy in the Outback by Rafael de Grenade (Milkweed Editions), John Staba of Leaving Orbit: Notes from the Last Days of American Spaceflight by Margaret Lazarus Dean (Graywolf Press) and BJ Zander of The Story of My Teeth by Valeria Luiselli (Coffee House Press).   • April – In celebration of National Poetry Month, Dorothy Schlesselman hosted poets Joan Johnson, reading from her chapbook An Alphabet for Aging (2017), and Margaret Hasse sharing from Between Us (2016).
  • March – Long-time Book Night convener Gretchen Kreuter, in her “swan song” reviewed Without Precedent, essays about Eleanor Roosevelt edited by Joan Hoff-Wilson and Marjorie Lightman, and Eleanor Roosevelt: The War Years and After by Blanche Cook.
  • February – Resident Jean Larson reading from her book Hope on the Journey: Walking with Chronic Disease, plus mini-reviews from Sara Evans of The Chronic Illness Experience: Embracing the Imperfect Life by Cheri Register and Eve Brown of We All Know How This Ends  by Bruce Kramer and Cathy Wurzer.
