In this new book, as well as in earlier works, he’s delved into the issue of Missing and Murdered Indigenous People (MMIP). What we all appreciate in Krueger’s writing is his authenticity. I’ve read that before he tackled Spirit Crossing he asked friends in the Ojibwe community if he “as a white guy…had the right to deal with this subject.” Obviously, he received their approval.
