Jantje's show will be in the East Gallery starting in June.

Jantje says, "The title of this show is "Motion II" and it is an update of my 2017 exhibit in this gallery, "Motion." As I noted in 2017, I am awed by the fact that everything in the universe is moving away from everything else at an extremely high rate of speed. In this exhibit I present works that I think of as cosmic toys, each expressing one of my mind-boggled responses to the speed issue and any of the other incredible facts in play in our universe.

"Concepts about the universe are not particularly good visual subjects.  A high rate of speed is not seeable, along with a lot of the other ideas that have struck me about the universe.  So I have essentially made up everything visual.  Images pop into my mind when I read, and they are what I use.  You will not find any science here."
