View over fifty of the Library’s newest books and meet Library Committee members. We won’t loan books during the event so you’ll be able to see all of the books. You will be able to indicate which of them you’d be interested in borrowing. We’ll do our best to sign one out to you within twenty-four hours.
As an extra incentive for attending Book Fest, we’re offering five desirable door prizes. Among the prizes are gift cards and certificates from local eateries and attractions. At 3:30 pm, we’ll begin drawing names. You needn’t be on hand at that time. We’ll let you know if you’re a winner. If you’re still reading this you’re probably a regular library user. In that case, Eileen Smith reports that she’s inventoried 1,900 books and by the end of September she’ll have completed the entire Mystery/Spy/Adventure collection. Remember you can always contact Eileen when you’re wondering if the Library owns a book you’re interested in. Another piece of good news is how well this year’s surplus books sales are doing. Audrey Estebo and Scott Magnuson keep the stock fresh and eyecatching. Thanks to resident support, by the end of July proceeds for 2022 were $273. |
